cups-client software package provides Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - client programs (SysV), you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cups-client
cups-client is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cups-client package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cups-client *
You will get with cups-client package name, version, architecture and description in a table
